What is "Timeless"?
The Timeless novel is a story about a journey of one soul who has been trapped into the darkness trying to find his way to the light. It is a metaphoric tale of the eternal battle between the good and the evil in the human heart.
Timeless is the world that belongs to the dreams. Some say it exists only in the minds of those who believe. It is described as an endless meadow peppered with white framed windows. Each one of them is a doorway to a different dream or fantasy. Like the universe, this realm constantly grows with every new dream, with every new wish one window popping up somewhere on the expanding meadow.
Timeless is a metaphor for the journey of a soul. Transportation of a person through his darkest hours. The time when he lost the light in his life and the choice was between either to give up or continue walking lost in the darkness until he finds the light.
The characters in the book represent the phases of the personality - the weakness, the hope, the negative, the positive. The inner voices who elevate you or ruthlessly get you down.
I believe as artists we must transform … We are transformers of energy, that’s why our job is so hard. We have to take, feel and go through all these difficult and sometimes bad emotions and recognize all the suffering, process it and only then to transform it into something beautiful.
This is why it hurts so much whenever we create - because it costs a sparkle of the artist’s soul.

My name is Metaka and I am the author of the Timeless novel. I have always believed the best inspiration comes from strong emotions and experiences. My thirst for feelings led me to a decision - leave my homeland and everything there behind. I wanted to open a new chapter searching for a new adventure, stronger emotions, and sensations somewhere...
Somehow I ended up lost in London and the last thing I remember was her... waving at me and crying at the airport. From that moment on her picture started to haunt my days and nights. The only time I was feeling OK was when I was watching the full moon, seeing her there. Immersed in memories of the aromas of those nights, those sweet moments when we were together. When we were watching the skies and the moon lying on the grass around the big lake, hidden from the world. But even then, I wasn't able to remember her smile. The crying girl's picture had already been captured in my mind... Finally, I have found it, that special feeling I was looking for. My main inspiration which became the reason to write "Timeless", was to create a world where I could escape and meet her there. A world where she could always be happy and I would see her smiling.

The journey has its roots in an early music album by Metaka. Dreaming of further expressing his artistic vision, Metaka decides to move to London. There he evolves his original idea in a different direction and develops it into a project for an ambitious photo exhibition. Keeping the theme and the emotions from his album, he starts illustrating them into his pocket sketchbook, preparing for a photoshoot. Gradually, the sketches pile in numbers revealing the coherent story he has always dreamt of.
Unexpectedly, one day he meets Tonka in Hyde Park. She is his friend from University days with whom he has lost connections. Influenced by the story from his illustrations, she convinces him to write it as a novel. Triggered by her enthusiasm and vision Metaka embarks on a great journey. A year later the Timeless novel was born.
